A Message from the LAWPC Board of Directors The 2007-2008 LAWPC Board of Directors is looking forward to the upcoming year with great anticipation. We are hoping to continue to build on the success of last year which included the Club’s 6th National Championship and saw us send 10 Teams to the National Junior Olympics with 4 of them finishing in the top 6. We would also like to express our gratitude to the athletes, parents and coaches who made this overwhelming success possible, and a special thanks to Dawn Barrett for her tireless efforts on behalf of the Club. It was her hard work that made the JO’s the most enjoyable ever for LAWPC. We have a great coaching staff returning this year that includes two former Olympians and 6 current or former USA National Team Members. We have also added regularly scheduled Special Clinics taught by Matt Flesher and Brandon Brooks that have be very well received and will certainly improve the skills of anyone who participates. Due in no small part to the fine coaching and the dedication of our members and their family, LAWPC had nine athletes named to the 2007 Cadet and Youth National Team rosters. We are also proud to have 56 LAWPC Graduates currently playing for NCAA Water Polo Teams this year! But this success does not come with out placing a priority on assuring that our Novice Program continues to grow and provide opportunities for young participants of all skill levels. The Board of Directors is committed to providing the best water polo experience possible for all of its members and looks forward to a successful 2007-2008 season and seeing you on the pool deck! 2007-2008 Los Angeles Water Polo Club Board of Directors
